Photographs and words by Jack Webster

The 25th Anniversary running of Motul Petit Le Mans is now in the record books, the winners have celebrated their victories, the losers have commiserated their failures.

The final race of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech Championship decided not only the race winners in 5 classes of racing, but the series champions as well.

It also marked the end of the DPi era of prototype racing, as next year the new GTP class will make its debut, both in IMSA and the FIA-WEC series.

Out with the old and in with the new โ€“ racing reflects life. Change is coming and you can either be excited and embrace it, or cling to the past.

This selection of photos pays tribute to the 25th Anniversary of this incredible race and the cars, teams and drivers who combine to make IMSA racing the best in the world.

Enjoy the ride.
